The Embassy is pleased to announce that the Syrian Ministry of Tourism will participate in the coming MATTA Fair 12-14 March 2010 , and would like to invite Malaysians to visit the Syrian booth at the Fair where they can find more information about travelling to Syria .
Syria’s rich culture, ancient history and diversified landscapes can cater to different types of tourists .People who are interested in history and culture can visit museums and tens of ancient cities that date back as far as 5000BC such as Palmyra and Ebla , while those interested in shopping can visit the famous old Souqs in Damascus and Aleppo such as the Hamidiyah, and also enjoy the modern shopping streets that are hyper and classy . Tourists should try the rich Syrian cuisine that is one of the best in the Middle East , the other charming aspect of Syria is the hospitality of the Syrian people who would love to make friendship with tourists and invite them to their houses for a home cooked delicious meal and cup of tea together with some famous Syrian sweet Baklawa .Syria has a lot of offer to Malaysian tourists with its unique and colorful civilizations , please visit the syrian booth at the MATTA Fair for more information. |
